Toshiba 128 GB Flash Chip
Toshiba announced the record reached in the capacity of flash chips for mobile phones and media players. With the capacity of 128 GB it surpasses the previous record twice. The chip consists of 16 layers, each layer has a capacity of 8 GB. The device is made by rules of 32-nanometer process and has a thickness of 1.5 mm. The first sample of the new flash chip with a capacity of 128 GB will be released in September this year.
