WD My Book Studio LX External Hard Drive For Mac

Western Digital has unveiled its latest creation in terms of storage solutions designed for Mac users: the My Book Studio LX is an external hard drive enclosed in a total metallic frame. The device offers 1 or 2 TB capacity, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 port, a 256-bit hardware encryption and finally a convenient front-label and customized to make it easier to use. Size, 171 × 135×48 mm and a weight of 1.18 kg, making it suitable for desktop use.

The new My Book Studio LX includes WD SmartWare, a user-friendly software for back-up fast, complete and free of stress, the most interesting feature of this device seems to still be design, with aluminum superior pleasant even to the touch, easily adaptable to a desk populated by Apple products.

Western Digital My Book Studio LX is already available at about 160 euros for the 1 TB version and about 220 euros for the 2 TB version. The hard drive can also run on Windows, but in this case needs to be reformatted.
